Fitzgerald Tennis Center - Washington Event Guide

Venue Information

The Fitzgerald Tennis Center, located in the vibrant city of Washington, is a premier destination for tennis enthusiasts and sports fans alike. Established in the early 1990s, this facility has become a cornerstone of the local sports community, hosting numerous tournaments and events throughout the year. The center is particularly known for its annual events, including the Washington Open, which attracts top-tier talent and a passionate audience.

With a seating capacity of over 3,000, the Fitzgerald Tennis Center offers an intimate atmosphere where fans can enjoy world-class tennis up close. The venue is well-reviewed for its excellent sightlines and acoustics, making it a favorite among both players and spectators. Ticket prices vary depending on the event category, with general admission typically ranging from $20 to $100, while premium seats for major matches can exceed $200.

Seating Information

The seating arrangement at the Fitzgerald Tennis Center is designed to enhance the spectator experience. The best sections are generally considered to be the lower-level seats near the court, which provide an unparalleled view of the action. These seats allow fans to feel the intensity of each match as they witness top players compete.

Conversely, the upper-level sections may not offer the same level of engagement due to their distance from the court. However, they can still provide a good overall view of the matches at a more affordable price point. For those looking for a balance between cost and visibility, mid-level seats are often regarded as a solid choice.

Parking Information

Parking at the Fitzgerald Tennis Center is relatively straightforward, with several options available for attendees. The best parking facility is located at 4500 Connecticut Ave NW, which offers convenient access to the venue. Pricing typically ranges from $10 to $20 depending on event timing and availability.

In addition to this primary parking option, there are several nearby lots and street parking available; however, it is advisable to arrive early during major events to secure a spot. Attendees should avoid parking in residential areas where restrictions may apply, as this could lead to fines or towing.
